By now, youve figured out that (so far, anyway) weve done most of our publishing on paper. We are based in London, England and in conjunction with Comics Creators Guild publish a quarterly magazine which has a very limited distribution. It is our hope that you are inspired by our ezine to join our subscribed readership.
What To Expect from the Paperzine |
Sizethe page count hovers around 70. We keep on aiming for 64, but then reviews and articles will arrive that we cant bear to leave out.
Formatour covers are two-colour glossy card stock, square-bound, and the contents are black and white. The layout and style are very similar to what you see here (see help for fonts we use). Every time we get an issue back from the printers, we find ourselves saying, Wow! That looks almost too substantial. Its going to intimidate people!
Contentswhat you see here is just a small sample. Each issue usually has two major interviews, and a range of articles offering perspective, information, and/or pure entertainment. We also have obituaries, news, and a hefty section of reviews. Oh, and occasional competitions! All content is authorisednever pirated.
Highlights of the Current Issue |
The current issue is Number 18, our summer issue, available from mid-June.
Interviewswe have three interviews: Alex Ross (talking about Marvels and Kingdom Come), Colleen Doran (talking about A Distant Soil, and her career in comics, which started when she was 15!), and Jamie Delano (talking about 2020 Visions and why monthly comics are A Bad Thing).
